Taupō District Council has an exciting opportunity for a District Events Manager!

You will need a passion for events and understand the flexibility required of the industry. We are looking for a strategic thinker with at least 5 years’ experience in a strong commercial  background, event management or marketing.

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate others and engage with a variety of stakeholders. You will be a natural leader and will lead the events team to ensure outstanding service to event customers and work to maximise the benefits that events bring to the Taupō District, including economic, profile, social cohesion and business development.

You will also ensure that the Taupō District venues are optimally utilised, enabling marketing and media exposure for events and assisting with arts and culture development.
