Eden Park is offering up to 4 recipients the opportunity to attend the All Blacks/Australia rugby game on 17 August 2019, and the 2 days prior to the game (15-16 August), as an observer. This is an excellent opportunity for managers and staff from other EVANZ member venues to learn and observe processes and systems put in place by Eden Park to manage events under its control. 

What's Involved:

  • Recipients must be available to attend the event at Eden Park, Auckland, from 15 -17 August 2019.
  • EVANZ will contribute up to $250 per recipient to assist with accommodation or travel costs.
  • Recipients must be available to deliver a presentation about their experience at the EVANZ end of year Conference.

Please complete and submit the online application form. Please note:

  • You will need to include a summary of your career history and future goals (max 150 words);
  • You will need to upload a letter of recommendation from your employer or venue manager.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Up to 4 people per year will be awarded the scholarship.  Any EVANZ member venue can apply. 
  • The scholarship must be taken on the 3 days 15 - 17 August 2019 – note in 2019 the Scholarship coincides with the All Blacks versus Australia rugby game. The Scholarship must be taken on these dates. If you are unable to attend on these dates do not apply.
  • Eden Park will provide training in the areas indicated on the application form.
  • A recipient of the scholarship cannot apply again at any time in the future.
  • A member venue can apply on behalf of one staff member only per year.  
  • The scholarship is not transferable to another person from the same venue or any other venue.
  • The successful applicants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements. EVANZ will subsidise these costs with a grant of $250 per scholarship recipient. Accommodation deals may be available so it is recommended recipients check with Eden Park before booking accommodation. 
  • The successful applicant must prepare a written report at the conclusion of the Scholarship, to be submitted to Eden Park and EVANZ. The applicant will be required to present this report at the end of year EVANZ Conference in Christchurch.

REVIEW PANEL:

The review panel will consist of one representative from Eden Park and one representative from the EVANZ Executive (providing the applicant is not from the same venue as the Executive Member). Review Panel decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Successful applicants will be advised in writing in the week commencing Monday 1 July 2019.
