Home to Hawke's Bays great treasures: MTG Hawkes's Bay is a place of stories, heritage, art and artefacts - a place where visitors can explore and enjoy New Zealand's vibrant cultural history. MTG Hawkes Bay re-opened in September 2013 after an extensive rebuild. 

The redevelopment project preserved the significant existing buildings on the museum site; integrating heritage architecture and creating a new wing, which will draw visitors to what will be the major cultural amenity for the region.

Manfeild is a truly unique venue, considered one of New Zealand’s most diverse event centres. Nestled in over 80 hectares of parkland, we can offer a flexible range of facilities that can be tailored to your individual needs.

Manfeild’s facilities can offer seating for 5000 to 10, depending on your needs.

Outside, equestrian and animal displays have the outdoor arena, stables and yards on offer. And who can forget our world-class circuits, stadium suites and pitlane complexes for motorsport activities and large corporate events.

The new ASB Theatre Marlborough, which opened in March 2016, is a multi-use and purpose built venue, situated overlooking Blenheim's Taylor River.  This new facility is conveniently located adjacent to the Marlborough Convention Centre in Blenheim’s CBD.  Delight in all that Marlborough offers whilst enjoying the comfort of this outstanding new venue.  We offer state-of-the-art facilities and amenities for your live performance/theatrical event, conference, function, event or exhibition.   

In the future, four very different venues will be available for hire, providing options for all manner of events:

1.      The Main Auditorium—our primary venue—is ideal for your live performance event, conference plenary session or keynote speaker address. A 701-seat purpose built Lyric Theatre with excellent acoustics.  Seating is split over two levels, with easy stage access available. The stage house comprises our counter weight flying system, with 65 line sets, paving the way for a myriad of professional, theatrical production and presentation options from which to choose.   

2.    The Anderson Theatre will be the final piece of this multi-functional venue to be completed in the future.  This will be our Black Box Studio Theatre, designed specifically with adaptability and versatility in mind. This intimate space, will lend itself ideally to boutique theatre and concerts, breakout sessions, exhibitions, meetings and seminars on a smaller scale, without having to compromise on quality, production and presentation options.

3.    The Whitehaven Wine Room, which opened for business in July 2016, is ideally suited to meetings and seminars, catered events, such as cocktail functions and dinners, as well as trade exhibitions. It is also a wonderful space for small concerts. The inclusion of a fully removable wall provides further versatility as an extension to the main foyer.

4.    The Foyer is now available for use as either part of a larger conference event, or smaller stand-alone events such as long-term exhibitions, small award presentations, cocktail functions and smaller dinners and concerts.

The Town Hall has been closed until further notice due to earthquake risk.

The Frank Cody Lounge is a medium sized meeting space that seats 100 theatre style or 80 dinner style. Kitchen facilities are available.

Mangere Arts Centre - Ngā Tohu o Uenuku was designed to meet the needs of the culturally diverse and vibrant Mangere community.  The purpose-built complex nurtures and presents the diversity of arts, crafts and cultural activities that underpin the unique character of Mangere’s 60,000 people. It will be a source of great pride to Mangere and will create ways of connecting Mangere with other New Zealanders by showcasing Mangere as an important creative and cultural hub.

The TSB Bowl of Brooklands is a unique venue comprising an impressive outdoor sound stage and a large grass amphitheatre set against the backdrop of New Plymouth’s Pukekura Park. The bowl is a spectacular venue for summer concerts and when night comes, visitors and performers are spellbound as the lighting on the stage and surrounding trees takes effect.


Owen Delany Park, Taupo's largest multi purpose premium sportsground with a capacity of 25,000 is capable of hosting a variety of sporting and recreational events.

The Trafalgar Centre is the largest indoor multi-purpose events centre in the Nelson / Tasman Region. Built in the early 1970s as a sports stadium, the Centre also hosts major cultural and entertainment events and exhibitions. As well as the main stadium, it features the Victory Room, a popular venue for smaller events.  The Trafalgar Centre re-opened in February 2009 after undergoing a major $7m upgrade.

New Zealand Cricket's outdoor playing and training facilities at Lincoln University are one of the sport's most obvious examples of the commitment to lift achievement levels and consistency in the game.

The Lincoln facilities are the jewel in the crown of New Zealand sporting centres of excellence and guests are most welcome to spend time watching training and matches during the summer.

The Energy Events Centre is a versatile, multi-purpose complex, located on the edge of Lake Rotorua in the picturesque Government Gardens. The centre inorporates ten spaces ideal for meetings, conferences, exhibitions and banquets. It has a total floorspace of 8255m2 with the capacity to accommodate 4000 people theatre style, 500 exhibiton booths, or 2600 delegates for a seated banquet.

The centre provides extensive free car parking, and is within a short walk of its sister facility the Sir Howard Morrison Performing Arts Centre, accommodation providers, and the central city and restaurant precinct.

Offering versatility, unparalleled historical features and a breathtaking environment, the newly rebuilt and restored Isaac Theatre Royal is Christchurch's premier performing arts venue suitable for a large variety of events.

The McLean Park complex comprises an indoor stadium - the Rodney Green Centennial Event Centre - with an international standard outdoor sportsground and stands.

The Plaza is South Waikato's premium performing arts centre. We are available to hire for small and large events. Catering, advertising and ticketing services (including Eftpos) are all available.   Our newly renovated proscenium arch theatre features a 9-bar fly tower, ample parking, full wheelchair access, excellent dressing rooms/studio with kitchen facilities, gas heating, retractable seats to reveal large floor, and the best acoustics you’ve heard in years! 

The Queenstown Events Centre is an impressive multi-purpose indoor sports and events complex. The venue is extremely flexible, offering an extensive range of function and meeting room facilities, that can be adapted to meet the needs of events of any size. Uninterrupted vistas to Coronet Peak, The Crown Range and The Remarkables provide the ideal setting for any event.

After 10 years of fundraising and 5 years of rebuilding The Theatre Royal re-opened on May 31, 2010 offering the people of Nelson and the Tasman region a fully restored heritage auditorium alongside 21st century staging and front of house facilities.

Located at Kerikeri, commercial hub of the Bay of Islands, and serving the greater Far North District, this purpose-designed complex contains state-of-the-art features. 

The John Dalton Theatre has 408 seats, the Events Centre for conferences, courses and presentations (50-300 people) and The Plaza (20-450 people) which combined with the Events Centre can accommodate 800 standing – for live bands. The Theatre Bar is used for intimate live concerts and small recitals and can host up to 100-150 people.

The Turner Centre hosts (inter)nationally touring productions, as well as locally produced performances and this produces a full and varied yearly programme. The other spaces have a number of community and commercial clients that use our versatile spaces for a wide range of activities - meetings, seminars, conferences right through to band practice and drama clubs.

The Turner Centre is a community owned venue run by a charitable, not-for-profit company.

The Dowse Art Museum is a municipal art gallery in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Opening in 1971 in the Lower Hutt CBD, The Dowse occupies a stand-alone building adjacent to other municipal facilities. The building was completely remodeled in 2013.

The Hannah Playhouse has hosted hundreds of New Zealand works, with some of New Zealand’s most prolific theatre practioners, and countless audience members coming through our doors.

The Trust has made the Hannah available as a theatre venue for hire, to continue to promote Wellington as a destination of cultural and artistic significance. In 2014 and 2015 this was made possible through Creative New Zealand (CNZ) support, and in 2016 this support was continued by the Hannah Playhouse Trust and by Wellington City Council.

Completed in March 2010, the TSB Hub is Taranaki’s premier sports, recreation, events and function centre.  Built at a cost of just over $20.7 million, the multi-focused complex brings modern indoor and outdoor facilities together on one site -located on Hicks Park between Waihi Rd and Camberwell Rd in Hawera.

A rich history suffuses Auckland's most spectacular and prestigious music theatre and function venue.  Built in 1929, The Civic was an outstanding example of the 'atmospheric cinema' with a unique soft-top design that floats above the auditorium, allowing the famed stars effect (the effect is a recreation of the actual Southern Hemisphere skyscape). The Civic boasts an international standard 2350-seat lyric theatre as well as a number of unique bar and function spaces, such as the Winter Garden, the Safari Room and the Taj Mahal Room.

Centrally located in Hagley Park with expansive views across the cricket oval and the park, this venue truly is an ‘oasis in the city.’

Home to Canterbury and International cricket, it also caters for meetings, ceremonies and dinners from 10 to 200 guests. The Pavilion’s main lounge is flooded with natural daylight and boasts the latest lighting, automatic black out options, temperature control and AV technology. You will be bowled over by this stylish venue.

Hagley Park is, without question, a beautiful spot – a popular destination for visitors and an equally desirable meeting point for the locals. Situated in the midst of this most idyllic of settings is Hagley Oval, the perfect location for events.

Opened in 1926, the Rangiora Town Hall is a notable historic building in the Waimakariri District. The building received Landmarks heritage recognition at a ceremony on 27 May 2010. It is located in a prominent position at the western end of Rangiora town centre on the corner of High and King Streets. The hall was closed in 2012 for seismic strengthening and building extensions.

Hawera Community Centre incorporates the Memorial Theatre, Community Hall and two meeting lounges The Memorial Theatre capacity is 330 people.

Vodafone Events Centre represents the new age in events centres by combining theme, iconic architecture and functionality to showcase your event. The Great Lake Centre is a versatile multi purpose venue located in the heart of the central business district featuring a theatre and exhibition hall, meeting rooms and adjacent outdoor domain.  Capable of seating up 600 people, the 576m2 exhibition area is a large versatile area used for convention, exhibitions, banquets and tradeshows. The theatre seats 358 and is suitable for touring shows and conferences and seminars.

Wellington’s Sky Stadium is a year-round multi-purpose sport and entertainment venue located in the coolest little capital - Wellington, New Zealand.
Since its opening in 2000, the Stadium has consistently delivered a superior entertainment experience, resulting in record average attendances for major sporting and concert events. The PumpHouse Theatre is located in Killarney Park on the shore of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, Auckland.  Formerly a water pumping station that from 1905 supplied Lake Pupuke water to North Shore’s early settlers, in 1983 it was listed as a Category II Historic Building under the protection of The New Zealand Historic Places Trust.

Te Whaea is New Zealand's National Dance and Drama Centre and home to both Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School and the New Zealand School of Dance.

The Westpoint Performing Arts Centre, home of Auckland Music Theatre, was built in 1992-93 and is located between Motions and Meola Roads in leafy Western Springs. The complex consists of a versatile 120+ seat theatre with dressing rooms, a large separate area which is used for building sets and rehearsing, and the historic 'shed' which houses sets, costumes and props. Moreover, we have a large parking area, a priceless asset in this day and age. 

When not occupied by Auckland Music Theatre Inc, Westpoint is primarily used as a rehearsal venue for Auckland based professional theatre companies. Regular hirers include Massive Company, Silo Theatre, Auckland Theatre Company, Pride Festival, Nightsong and The Oryza Foundation to name a few.

The beautiful Oamaru Opera House stands resplendent in historic Thames Street Oamaru, New Zealand.  Built over a century ago the Oamaru Opera House is still the first choice for quality entertainment, meeting space and conferencing in  North Otago.

The Oamaru Opera House is one of the most significant heritage places in Oamaru, important to the town and nationally to New Zealand for its historic, social, aesthetic and scientific values. This is recognised by its registration under the Historic Places Act and its listing on the District Plan. Registered as Category II under section 22 of the Historic Places Act 1993 The Oamaru Opera House is regarded as a place of ‘historical or cultural significance or value’.

Centrally located in the heart of the Wairarapa, the Carterton Events Centre provides modern, flexible, spaces for all types of events, weddings, shows, exhibitions, meetings and community gatherings. 

Mt Smart Stadium is a truly unique event centre in the Auckland events and functions arena. Our venue is flexible enough to host all kinds of events and functions such as world class concerts, through to sporting and athletics events, along with wining and dining staff and customers in our versatile spaces.  Mt Smart Stadium’s excellent and easily accessible location is sited on 22-hectares, with more than 1,500 car parks, a large and versatile selection of function rooms, corporate boxes and much more. Gisborne is a sun-drenched city on the East Coast of New Zealand's North Island, with a population of approximately 40,000 people.  The Gisborne District Council has three theatres: the War Memorial Theatre, Lawson Field Theatre, and the Outdoor Theatre (Soundshell).  These are available to hire for touring shows, performing arts events,  seminars, conferences, weddings and community activies. 


Located next to the War Memorial Library on Queens Drive in the heart of Lower Hutt, the Little Theatre is an inexpensive performing arts venue, the perfect host for a concert, dance show, school production or theatre show.

The theatre seats 306 people, has a stage that is 15.5 metres wide and 11 metres deep, and includes facilities such as toilets, and spacious dressing rooms. The foyer can fit 70–100 people.

The Feilding Civic Centre is a multi-purpose community venue centrally located in the heart of Friendly Feilding.  The building houses three venues:

The James Hay Theatre seats 750 and now offers retractable seating allowing for a mix of seated and standing events, including concerts and plenary sessions.

The Victoria, Limes and Avon Rooms enhance your options further with capacities up to 500. North Harbour Stadium, formerly known as QBE Stadium, is the North Shore's largest sporting venue and includes the Harbour Function Centre.  Opened in 1997, our architecturally designed, 25-000 seat Stadium is purpose built for New Zealand's favourite sporting codes of rugby union, rugby league and football, and we are a popular venue for outdoor concerts and entertainment events. This brand new facility completed in May 2008 is set in the Ashburton CBD; the heart of Mid Canterbury; located only one hour's drive south of Christchurch International Airport.  As the largest town in Mid Canterbury, Ashburton is the hub of the district with a friendly rural feel and flavour. 

The ASB Waterfront Theatre complex is made up of a ground floor, Level 1, hosting the main foyer and bar in the AUT Atrium which spills out into a courtyard, a 60-seat café and box office. Rising up the grand staircase the 668-seat auditorium is accessed on Levels 2 and 3. The building crowned by the Villa Maria Gallery, a VIP function room with outdoor balcony located adjacent to the Circle on Level 3.

The Auditorium at the NBS Theatre is the perfect place for any large event you may have planned. Whether its a full theatrical production, a concert, a school reunion, an awards ceremony, or even a corporate dinner, we've got you covered at the NBS Theatre Auditorium.  The Auditorium can seat up to 405, but is normally set up to seat 359. 

When the Regent Theatre opened on 4 July 1930 it was described as “The Theatre Beautiful”, and that it was creating “an entirely new standard of entertainment.”  With the re-opening as the Regent on Broadway in 1 May 1998 that description could still stand.  Today, as a 1393 seat venue, the Regent on Broadway can still claim to be one of New Zealand’s finest performing arts facilities, indeed one of the top four in the country.

Opened in 1990 by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, the Aotea Centre is a stunning example of modern contemporary architecture, featuring marble foyer entrances and comfortable surrounds.

Kāpiti Performing Arts Centre is a partnership between Kāpiti College and the Kāpiti community, first conceived in 2013 and opening in February 2020.  It is the first publicly owned specialist performance space on the Kāpiti Coast and seeks to meet the needs of young people, local performers and the people of the Kāpiti Coast.

The complex was designed by McKenzie Higham Architects, Wellington, and constructed by local company Multibuild Construction.  Many of the subcontractors were local trades firms including Stones Electrical, Klee Plumbing and PureTech. Other significant contributions were made by Marshall Day Acoustic Engineers, Shand Shelton, StageMark, John Herbers and MDR.  

The $12 million project was largely funded through the efforts of the Kāpiti College community, with classrooms funded by the Ministry of Education.  Kāpiti Coast District Council contributed $1.6 million as a community share and other significant contributions have been Coastlands, New Zealand Community Trust, Rotary Club of Paraparaumu, Goodmans Ltd as well as our many community supporters.  

This facility is also acknowledged as being one of regional significance – there is no other community facility like this between Wellington and Palmerston North.  The Kāpiti Performing Arts Centre will contribute to increased community self-reliance, capacity building and stability and provide opportunities for social, recreational, civil and cultural participation.

An architectural award winning building, the Whanganui War Memorial Centre is a stunning living memorial to the 375 service men and women who lost their lives during World War II. The newly opened Lower Hutt Events Centre is a multi-purpose venue which can cater to a wide range of events. Recognised as one of the cricket world’s best “boutique” grounds, Seddon Park is the home of cricket in Hamilton. Two concerts held at the stadium were the largest concerts ever in New Zealand at the time. On 26 November 1983, one of the final dates of David Bowie's Serious Moonlight Tour was attended by either 74,480 fans (according to bootleg recordings) or by 83,000 (according to the promoter years later).[7] On 14 March 1987, over 80,000 fans saw the concert by ZZ Top.

Opera House

This 100 year old gem is an architectural icon, with its original features including the ornate plasterwork and vintage black and white marble floors.

A multi-level, historic events and entertainment centre.  

The iconic building was once the city’s number one party spot and was immortalised in the 1958 Peter Cape song Down the Hall on Saturday Night.  In its heyday in the 1940s, the dance hall was packed, with queues stretching down Newton Rd.

The TSB Showplace in New Plymouth, Taranaki, is the region’s main theatre and conference venue. The complex has the flexibility to cater for intimate dinners for six through to large international touring productions and conferences requiring a capacity of close to 1,000.  The main venues at the TSB Showplace are – the TSB Theatre (formerly the New Plymouth Opera House), the Theatre Royal and the Alexandra Room. Break out areas and bar/lounge options are available along with contemporary catering and a highly skilled and experienced support team.

Our doors first opened to audiences in 1936. Now independently operated and owned by a local charitable trust, the theatre continues to bring movies and live entertainment to the community of Gore and district.

The South Waikato Sport & Events Centre, set in the Tokoroa Memorial Sports Ground, was officially opened on 1 December 2012.  

With an indoor, two court Arena and two function rooms, the facility is a multi purpose facility overlooking farmland and on to forest, that can be used for a variety of events.

The Hawkins Theatre - Papakura opened on the 14th July 1990 by Governor General Paul Reeves, and was an exciting step for the community as the first purpose-built facility for the arts in the District. The facility won commendation for its design in the 1990 NZIA awards, with the jury saying that while the Italianate form and size of the structure were large, the building successfully defined the public importance of the facility and its purpose.

Te Ahu is a multi-functional community facility in Kaitaia in Northland, New Zealand, which houses the area’s library, museum, i-SITE visitor information centre and council customer services. The complex also houses a café, a variety of venues for hire including different sized meeting rooms, banquet room and a main hall, little theatre, art space and cinema. 


Founders Theatre is Hamilton's iconic city venue which opened in 1962.  This proscenium arch theatre has a capcity of 1249 and is located in the scenic Boyes Park.  Founders Theatres hosts a wide range of national companies including the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the Royal New Zealand Ballet, international and national touring concerts, comedy and theatre.

The Globe Theatre was opened in November 1982 in response to the need for a modern purpose-built small community theatre.  It is managed by a Trust Board on behalf of the Palmerston North City Council, and is available for hire. In 2014, the Globe was extended to hold a second auditorium, expanded foyer/cafe and in-house box-office.

Eden Park is New Zealand's largest stadium. Welcome to The Great South Pacific Tuning Fork!  Not only have we been forking great food as a pre-show diner since 2007, but we are now a fully fledged venue in our own right.

Parties, dinners, school, socials... The Tuning Fork is a great place for a private party on evenings when the main arena is not in use.

Saxton Field is a jointly-owned and funded regional sport and recreation facility benefiting the residents of Nelson and Tasman District. You can take part in a broad range of activities at Saxton Field including cricket, athletics, soccer, hockey, softball, archery and netball among others.

The Civic Theatre is the major performing arts venue in Southland that benefited from a $15.8 million refurbishment in 2005. A traditional 3-tiered auditorium seats up to 1015 people. The stagehouse and dressing room block is state-of-the-art efficient, with a world-class flying system.

The Centennial Centre was funded by the Auckland Grammar Old Boys’ Association and was presented to the School for the purpose of extending its pupils’ education in theatre skills.  Purpose built, this award winning Theatre is situated in the heart of Auckland Grammar School.  With a tiered auditorium and seating for up to 361, this venue is ideal for performances, concerts, functions and business events. 

The Theatre Royal is home to much of Timaru's drama and performing arts. The location, size and style of the venue makes it popular with many touring shows. It is an important focal point for the arts and entertainment and makes a significant contribution to the lifestyle of the district.

A landmark cultural icon, and New Zealand’s last remaining working Victorian Theatre. Completed in 1899, the Royal Wanganui Opera House offers an opulent setting for traditional performances, seminars, awards and ceremonies, weddings and keynote presentations.

The venue is fully equipped with every audio visual requirement, and our Technical Lead can assist with setup and technical advice, ensuring your event is a success. Pre-show and intermission refreshments can be provided in the upper bar area, and a ticketing box office is conveniently located in the foyer.

Trafalgar Park is Nelson City’s premiere enclosed sports and open-air events centre. It is an international sports venue, and a central city location for other outdoor events such as music concerts.

The Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts is a purpose-built, multiple-venue, award-winning performing arts building on the University of Waikato campus on the eastern side of Hamilton. It contains two main theatres, the Dr John Gallagher Concert Chamber and the Playhouse Theatre.  

The Edgar Centre is a multi purpose venue capable of hosting a large variety of events including sports events, concerts, dinners, exhibitions, conventions and conferences. It is regarded as the largest indoor recreation centre in the Southern Hemisphere, and is one of Dunedin's most utilised public facilities.
