The Saxton Oval, also known as Saxton Field, is a cricket ground in Nelson. The ground was constructed by the Nelson Cricket Association following their move from Trafalgar Park, at a cost of $3.8 million. The Theatre Royal offers the people of Nelson and the Tasman region a fully restored heritage auditorium. The theatre has an all new enlarged flat stage area, a fully counterweighted flying system, new lighting and sound control systems, new dressing rooms, laundry and kitchen facilities.
