Working alongside the new arts and culture division, an exciting leadership opportunity has become available in the newly created Venues and Events division at Tauranga City Council. They are looking for a talented and motivated Manager: Venues & Events to provide strategic leadership and direction of Council's two community venues and the highly-respected events team.
Reporting to the General Manager: Community Services, the Manager: Venues & Events will make an important contribution to Council, supporting an events team that is collaborative, event-friendly and enabling, ensuring Council's event support is targeted and delivers a positive return on investment, and that Tauranga is respected as a top-tier event destination.
The new role will also support the ongoing strategic development, management and operation of Council's two community venues, Baycourt Community and Arts Centre and The Historic Village, to ensuring meaningful outcomes for the community.
Tauranga City Council are looking for a creative and results-orientated high achiever, with at least ten years demonstrated experience managing venues and events. Applications are currently open, with a closing date of Feb 2nd.
