Ticketing Code of Practice

We developed the Ticketing Code of Practice to give ticket purchasers confidence and assurance of the highest standards when buying tickets for shows or events presented in EVANZ Member venues. There is a consumer-facing document which outlines how the code works for the ticket purchaser and there is the code itself which, as an EVANZ Member you must comply with (members voted for this at an SGM in October 2024). What you need to do:

  • Make yourself familiar with the Code
  • Display the Consumer code and logo on your website and in relevant communications, ensuring compliance visibility.
  • Begin discussing the code with hirers to ensure they understand its purpose and implications. While immediate VHA amendments may not be feasible, start conversations on risk management and alternative ticketing options
  • Gather feedback and questions from hirers, and compile these to share with EVANZ, as many members may have similar inquiries. We'll compile and FAQ guide when we have them. Send your questions to gm@evanz.co.nz
