Central Energy Trust Arena and the Conference & Function Centre are leading events venues in the heart of Palmy’s CBD. Hosting over 3300 events annually, these venues make Palmy a vibrant and exciting city to live in and visit. Our venues host all sorts of events including conferences, workshops, weddings, sport, gala dinners, tournaments, festivals, trade shows and exhibitions…just to name a few.

Our Technical Officer assists with the technical procedures for all event requirements. This includes audio-visual (AV) assistance, tech advice, venue set-up, software management, tech training and developing standard operating procedures. What might this look like? It could include setting up conference AV requirements, operating tech during events, managing the big screen at our Arena, and auditing our tech equipment. You’ll also need to keep up-to-date with AV knowledge, skills and training so we continue to deliver industry best practice. Plus, you’ll train our event support staff on all thing tech! It’s a busy and varied role!

You’ll be working directly with our clients, so you’ll have great customer service skills, attention to detail, excellent time management and initiative. We’re busy venues and our events aren’t always held during “normal” business hours. You’ll have a full driver’s licence and a reasonable standard of physical fitness.

A relevant qualification or experience in the events and tech industries will make you a valuable team member. This is a great opportunity to work for Palmy’s leading venues. If you think you’ve got what it takes, apply today via our website: https://applynow.net.au/jobs/PNCC661-technical-officer
