    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated event manager with a passion for creating and managing a diverse calendar of events. You will be part of a dynamic team reporting directly to the CEO of the Isaac Theatre Royal.

    About the Role

    12-month Fixed Term – Maternity Leave Position

    This role is responsible for the effective planning, management and delivery of events at the ITR including musicals, plays, functions, concerts, conferences, movies as well as other events. This role will also be responsible for ticketing requirements at the ITR.

    The Event Manager is responsible for:

    • Planning and managing the events at the ITR

    • Engage and manage the staffing levels at events at the ITR. This includes the FOH Manager, floor supervisors and ushers for each event. 

    • Manage contractors and suppliers for the venue and event needs. This includes; security, medical and ticketing personnel.

    • Plan, manage, oversee and report on each event held at the ITR.

    • Roster appropriate levels of staff for each event, ensuring that they are suitably trained to undertake their duties.

    • Ensure all legal and compliance obligations are adhered to with relation to the event delivery.

    • The Event Manager will deliver events in accordance with the ITR event delivery strategy. 

    • Management of ticketing needs for the theatre

    The Ideal Person 

    • 3+ years’ experience as an Event Manager

    • Previous experience using event management software – e.g Priava

    • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

    • Ability to manage staff

    • Strong understanding and management of Health and safety.

    • Understanding of event requirements including FOH staffing; contractors, Health and safety requirements etc.  

    Desirable Skills and Experience:

    • Excellent planning and communication skills

    • Ability to write reports including post event report and incident reports.

    • Proficient with micro soft office – excel, word, PowerPoint.

    • Diploma or higher in Event Management (desirable)

    • Experience and understanding of risk management as it relates to events.
