    Operations Coordinator

    Reporting to the Technical Manager the Operations Coordinator will provide guidance and leadership in the areas of Back of House management and client interaction, load in and load out schedules, staffing, overall technical information for the venue and set up of all venue services.

    The Operations Coordinator is a vital part of the QPAM team that will operate a professional, safe and world class facility for all users and patrons.  

    Key things you’ll be doing day to day, but not limited to:

    Customer service 

    • Assist the QPAM team in providing class customer service by responding to and exceeding the needs of event hirers and promoters by delivering on tasks in a timely, effective, and professional manner
    • Manage the back of house requirements at Spark Arena by ensuring clients are well informed regarding their production and special requirements

    Back of House

    • Supervising of all events Back of House (BOH) requirements for clients and contractors - responsible for BOH staffing including load in and load out crew, security, cleaning and the briefing of staff pre-event, rostering, appraisals, and training
    • Preparing formal brief and debrief of all Back of House requirements for evens as well as BOH load in and load out schedules and accreditations

    Administration 

    • Delivering and compiling event technical plans and distribute information to associated parties, producing event building maps with technical elements included (AutoCAD)
    • Preparing feasibility budgets and reports and costs report for each event in a timely manner
    • Arranging statutory certification for special services (pyrotechnics, hazardous substances, consents for tenting etc.)

    Health & Safety

    • Playing a leading role in QPAM’s health and safety plans and documentation
    • Undertaking a major responsibility in the venue’s emergency evacuation plan, and other safety information.
    • Planning, facilitating, implementing, and attending training sessions as required
    • Contributing to public safety issues, safe work practice of staff and contractors, and staff training relating of safety procedures
    • Perform all duties required by a qualified safety warden and dutes of Chief Fire Warden
