    Auckland Live and Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events are the trusted leaders in performing arts, culture, entertainment, and events. We are seeking multiple casual event services attendants to work across events at our many and varied venues.

    Who we are:
    As custodian to some of the most iconic venues in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, we are New Zealand’s only major integrated performing arts centre, underpinned by a commercial conventions business, with a focus on presenting the best of national and international performing arts, conventions, meetings, and entertainment, as well as a range of community-focused programmes that all contribute towards a culturally rich Auckland.

    Auckland Live and Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events are key cultivators of culture in Auckland. We champion Auckland internationally to attract big-name shows and concerts, collaborate with arts companies and festivals and introduce children to the excitement of the stage. We present events across Auckland’s major performing arts venues and stadiums – the Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, The Civic, Aotea Square, Bruce Mason Centre, Mt Smart Stadium, North Harbour Stadium, Western Springs Stadium, and Queens Wharf.

    We're seeking Event Services Attendants who are at the heart of the live experience – duties will include ushering in our theatres, serving food and beverages, selling programmes and show merchandise and helping ensure our customers have an unforgettable night out.

    He kōrero mōu: About you
    The successful applicant will have enthusiasm and passion for delivering excellent customer service as well as good social skills and a caring attitude towards the well-being of patrons.  You will have the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure and be able to relate well to people from varied backgrounds.

    Your high standard of grooming and presentation will be honed through your customer service experience, with experience in hospitality being a bonus.  Ideally, you will also have an interest in live arts and entertainment.

    Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer
    As a casual worker, we offer you casual work on an “as available/as required” basis to suit Auckland Unlimited business needs, and casual work can be irregular and intermittent. As an event services attendant, it is expected that you are available to work a roster that includes a minimum three shifts per week, including a Friday night, Saturday night or Sunday, and public holidays over a seven-day period. Each shift is a minimum three-hour call, with a finish time of approximately 10:30 pm.

    If you are chosen to proceed to the assessment day, you will need to complete an e-learning module, this module will take no longer than 1 hour to complete and must be completed prior to attending assessment day or you will not be able to participate.  To complete these modules, you must have access to a PC or tablet, a broadband internet connection, and headphones or speakers.

    You must be available to attend an assessment session during the morning assessment session from 10am – 12pm or afternoon assessment session from 1.30pm – 3.30pm Saturday 18th June 2022 at Aotea Centre. 

    If you are offered a position, you must be able to complete e-learning modules and be available for training sessions as below. The e-learning modules must be completed in the week leading up to the training sessions or you will not be able to participate. You will be paid for your training sessions below.

    Please note training session dates/times subject to change:

    • Sat 9th July day and/or evening time (max 7 hours)
    • Sun 10th July day and/or evening time (max 7 hours)
    • Monday 11th July evening time (max 4 hours)
