    About the role

Baycourt Community & Arts Centre is on a quest to find its next terrific ticketing titan to help operate its busy box office!

Do you put the 'excel' in 'excellent' when it comes to delivering high standard customer services? Do you have an assiduous eye for detail that leaves no 'I' undotted or 'T' uncrossed? Can you navigate your way around a computer like Greta Thunberg or a modern-day Kupe? Are manaakitanga (extending hospitality) and collaboration more than nouns but ways of life for you? Do you want to deal with the good kind of drama each and every day? Then read on!

Located in the heart of downtown Tauranga, Baycourt is the city's premier performing arts facility that is used extensively by local, regional, national, and international performances and exhibitions. Baycourt enables and provides a diverse programme of events for the Tauranga community, bringing people together to discover and enjoy live arts and culture experiences.

As a Ticketing Assistant, the part-time role (30 hours per week) will assist the Ticketing Coordinator in day-to-day operations of the Baycourt Box Office, including but not limited to selling event tickets, assisting with event ticketing builds, delivering marketing initiatives, providing general customer service support, and providing administrative support to the wider Baycourt team as required.

If you have not previously worked in ticketing but possess extensive customer service experience and a desire to learn new skills, Baycourt would love to hear from you!

What makes this role different from the rest?

    • A great team culture based on trust, support, strong team values and flexibility
    • Complimentary event tickets
    • You'll have great exposure to arts and culture

    What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

    • Flexibility to work box office shifts during evenings and weekends
    • Basic computer and numeracy skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Demonstratable organisational and problem-solving skills.
