    Pae Christchurch’s Culinary Services team is now available. We are looking to appoint a Banquet Manager responsible for delivering world-class food and beverage experiences.

    In this dynamic role, you will lead a team of supervisors and floor staff within Te Pae Christchurch to provide exceptional service to our clients.

    Key Duties

     In conjunction with the Food and Beverage Service Manager, assist with the management and delivery of banqueting services at Te Pae Christchurch.

     Ensure planning, execution and delivery of food, beverages and service for events, across days, nights and weekends per business requirements, leading by example with a hands-on approach.

     Optimal rostering and workforce planning to ensure event wage costs are within required guidelines.

     Oversee timely readiness of culinary service event rooms and areas pre-event across Te Pae Christchurch.

     Scheduling and coordination of operational front of house staffing requirements relating to all banquets.

     Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-cultural world-class team.

     Provide a safe work environment for your team.

    About  you

     Minimum two years’ recent experience in a similar role, managing multiple events and a large food and beverage team, with a focus on client and customer service.

     Management experience leading and inspiring operational teams to deliver results.

     Excellent planning, organisational, communication and presentation skills.

     A creative and progressive approach and passion for hospitality.

     Be able to self-motivate and motivate others.

     Ability to be both operational and strategically focused.

     Exceptional attention to detail.

     A current Duty Managers Licence.

    Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. 

    The successful applicant will be required to provide a criminal history check.
