As a world class venue, Spark Arena can accommodate over 12,000 people, and, as New Zealand’s largest premier multi-purpose, indoor, all weather arena, Spark Arena is home to a diverse range of entertainment & sporting events. Spark Arena is proudly funded and developed by Auckland City Council under the management of QPAM Ltd, and has set a new standard for the type of events staged in New Zealand.
Situated in Auckland, the largest city of the Pacific, design elements of Spark Arena, take inspiration from our rich cultural values and heritage. The land’s owner, the local Maori iwi (tribe), Ngati Whatua o Orakei; has and continues to be a keen and integral supporter of Spark Arena.
The architecture of the building and its artwork are a tribute to the legacy left by Tohunga Titahi and the people of the Ngati Whatua. As we honour our past through artistic expression our homage is perfectly interwoven with technical sophistication and international excellence in design and construction.
