    Opening in 2021, Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre will be a world class convention centre, centrally located in the heart of Christchurch, the gateway to the magnificent South Island of New Zealand.

    The Floor Coordinator position is a key support for our Event and AV Coordinators. The role is multi-faceted, with a high level of client contact. The first port of call for all clients during events at Te Pae Christchurch, this position involves the planning, coordination and delivery of event room layouts, and the supervision of set up teams to ensure timely and world class venue presentation.

    Key Duties

    • ·       Organise and direct the activities of event bump in, set up, delivery and bump out, and assist with elements of technical production to excellent service standards.
    • ·       Manage event set up and equipment to world class presentation standards.
    • ·       Follow health and safety legislation and best practice, and manage the development and implementation of new innovations and improvements to processes, and upgrades to Te Pae Christchurch products and services.
    • ·       Supervise the venue set up team.
    • ·       Accurate reporting of equipment damage and faults.

    The successful candidate will:

    ·       Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.

    ·       Be well organised with excellent attention to detail.

    ·       Have a working knowledge of basic audio-visual equipment.

    ·       Experience in the set up and operation of a variety of event types.

    ·       Have the ability to work well under pressure.

    The role requires flexible working hours. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
