Are you an experienced team manager? Do you have experience with event venues and enjoy a variety of work? Are you a self-starter with plenty of initiative and drive?

We are looking for someone who is innovative, passionate and committed to our vision of providing unforgettable event experiences in our venues. This position will suit someone who can work independently, balancing competing demands and priorities. You will need to have excellent time and people management skills too, incorporating a positive attitude. Experience working in a local government environment is desirable.

Based at the War Memorial Centre you will be responsible for leading a team of venue and technical professionals that support high-quality events at Whanganui District Council-owned venues. You will also use your networking skills and existing professional relationships to market and attract events across our district.
