The Business
A fantastic opportunity has opened with the NZ National Fieldays Society team; owners of one of the biggest events centres in New Zealand. Curating and running the largest agricultural show of its type in the Southern Hemisphere – Fieldays™, the team at the Mystery Creek Events Centre also hosts several New Zealand iconic events including, Baptist Easter Camp, Sika Show, NZ Motorhome, Caravan & Leisure Show and more.
The Role
This is an exciting and diverse role with responsibility for the organisations business systems and processes, providing support across the wider team and continuous improvement to further automate the organisations procedures. You will lead the ticketing system implementation and processes for events and be responsible for developing IT and cyber risk awareness within the Society.
You will be expected to:
- Partner with business units to create dashboards, reporting and KPI's on business performance
- Lead the adoption of new technologies including Office 365, Microsoft Teams and planning tools for the organisation
- Process map all internal business practices to create efficiencies & improvements and provide initial training for staff
- Lead the ticketing system and processes for events, including supporting external suppliers with ticketing development and implementation
- Automate processes by developing integrations across different business systems and software
- Creation and management of an internal SharePoint intranet
- First point of call for all internal IT solutions and cyber security
- Develop an expert knowledge of our customer database and CRM to allow the organisation to leverage new opportunities
- Provide on job training and suggest formal training options for staff to ensure optimum use of existing systems
The Candidate
- You will have well-developed problem-solving skills, be an expert with a variety of software applications including MS Teams, SharePoint, Office 365, Power BI, Integration Tools and Excel
- Have highly developed written and oral communication skills, which can convey information creatively, clearly and concisely to a diverse range of audiences
- You must have excellent interpersonal skills and an approachable manner with a strong use of personal initiative, who works successfully with limited supervision
- Strong planning and organising skills with the capacity to effectively manage competing demands and schedule work to ensure timely execution of tasks while under pressure is essential
- Strong team orientation with the ability to work well within a team environment is a must
- Understanding of stakeholder management & engagement to develop new solutions that meet the requirements of all users
