A fantastic opportunity has opened with the NZ National Fieldays Society team; owners of one of the biggest events centres in New Zealand. Curating and running the largest agricultural show of its type in the Southern Hemisphere – Fieldays™, the team at the Mystery Creek Events Centre also hosts several New Zealand iconic events including, Baptist Easter Camp, Sika Show, NZ Motorhome, Caravan & Leisure Show and more.
The Role
This is a busy and diverse role with responsibility for the organisations building repairs & maintenance, along with maintaining and operating the two water systems that feed the Mystery Creek Events Centre site. Maintenance tasks range from carpentry, painting, plumbing, fencing repairs and other property tasks as they arise. You will be responsible in preparing a site wide maintenance plan and ensuring it is delivered effectively.
You will be expected to:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently, along with general maintenance tasks
- Cleaning and repairing building fixtures
- Undertake activities of pest control
- Maintaining and operating water systems to the property
- Complete work/maintenance plan documentation
The Candidate
- You will have your ATV and Forklift licence and certification
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently are important along being physically fit and able to undertake manual labour
- You must be flexible with working weekends and night shifts to meet event and maintenance requirements
- An excellent eye for detail and quality control standards are required, as is basic skills using Microsoft Office 365
