AUCKLAND LIVE SCHOLARSHIP

Event Date: TBc mutual agreement between Auckland Live and the recipient

The Auckland Live Scholarship has been running successfully for a number of years and offers a unique opportunity for a venue staff member to have access to the Auckland Live team with a bespoke programme designed around the specific interests of the recipient. 

What's Involved:

• Recipients must be available to attend the scholarship in Auckland. A mutually convenient date will be agreed between Auckland Live and the recipient. The duration of the Scholarship is 3 days.
  

• Auckland Live will cover accommodation or travel costs*.
  

• Recipients must be available to deliver a presentation about their experience at the EVANZ end of year Conference.
  

To Apply: please complete and submit the online application form. Please note:

• You will need to include a summary of your career history and future goals (max 150 words);
  

• You will need to upload a letter of recommendation from your employer or venue manager.
  

Terms and Conditions:

• One person will be awarded the scholarship.  Any EVANZ member venue can apply. 
  

• The scholarship must be taken before 30 June 2025.
  
• Auckland Live will provide training in the areas indicated on the application form.
  
• A recipient of the scholarship cannot apply again at any time in the future.
  
• A member venue can apply on behalf of one staff member only per year and previous recipients of the scholarship cannot apply again.
  
• The scholarship is not transferable to another person from the same venue or any other venue.
  
• *The successful applicant will receive accommodation in Auckland arranged by Auckland Live for up to 3 nights (applicable only to recipients who live outside greater Auckland). They will receive reimbursement for the cost of airfares, providing they live more than a 3 hour drive from Auckland. Airfares must be “best value” and submitted to Auckland Live for approval prior to purchase. Reimbursement will be made by Auckland Live upon submission of proof of purchase of approved flight.
• The successful applicant must prepare a written report at the conclusion of the Scholarship, to be submitted to Auckland Live and EVANZ. The applicant will be required to present this report at the EVANZ End of Year Conference in 2025.
  

REVIEW PANEL:

The review panel will consist of one representative from Auckland Live and the EVANZ Board Learning and Development Sub Committee (providing the applicant is not from the same venue as the Board Members). Review Panel decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Successful applicants will be advised in writing by Friday 11 October 2024.
