Job Title - Venues & Events Technical Lead

Are you an experienced venue and events technician? Do you enjoy a variety of work across different venues? Are you a self-starter with plenty of initiative and drive?
We are looking for someone who can be innovative, creative and committed to providing a fantastic customer experience across all our venues. This position will suit someone who can work independently, balancing competing demands and priorities. You will need to have excellent time and project management skills too, incorporating a positive attitude.

The role will see the successful applicant lead the delivery of technical support across Council owned venues. You will be technically astute with a background in providing technical services in theatres and other venues.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience working in an events, theatre and functions environment
- A relevant technical qualification in audio-visual, lighting and sound equipment
- Ability to undertake physical work
- Experience working at heights
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A professional attitude with strong communication skills.
- The ability to work outside normal working hours. (evening and weekend work required)
A relevant trade qualification will be advantageous, but not essential.
