Bay Venues is the kaitiaki of community venues, proudly managing 24 venues spread across the city on behalf of Tauranga City Council. Our venues incorporate Trustpower Baypark, aquatic facilities, community centres and community halls. We offer a broad range of event, sport, recreation, fitness and leisure activities with a core focus on serving the community through exceptional experiences. The purpose of this new exciting role is to:
- Attract, manage, promote and host events across the Bay Venues network optimising utilisation and delivering a strong financial return to the business
- Provide outstanding leadership to ensure teams are providing exceptional delivery each and every event which drives referrals and repeat business and puts Bay Venues on the map as a high-quality event destination.
This is a full-time role for someone who has drive, energy and enthusiasm along with exceptional events, sales and business acumen. You will lead a team of four highly positive direct reports as well as other indirect reports.
