    Our friendly Venues team are seeking a Venues Technician!

    Key responsibilities for this role include:

    • Interpret and communicate hirer requirements accurately, including flying, lighting, sound, heating, ventilation, and meeting room setup.
    • Ensure precise settings on lighting and sound systems, recording and communicating variations promptly.
    • Provide specialist operational support during performances, coordinating with Casual Theatre staff as needed.
    • Liaise effectively with contractors, suppliers, show/tour managers, and Council staff, managing the day-to-day maintenance of all Venues and Event Services systems.
    • Supervise Theatre Pack In/Out operations, ensuring safety, accurate time recording, and proper handling of equipment, including communication with promoters about left-behind property.

    What you will bring:

    • A current full clean NZ drivers licence
    • Registration as an electrical service technician or the willingness to obtain this
    • Ability to undertake manual/physical work
    • The flexibility to work weekends, evenings and additional hours in line with our shows and events
