    Te Pae Christchurch is an international standard convention centre, located in the heart of Christchurch, the gateway to the magnificent South Island of New Zealand.

    Reporting directly to the Events Manager, we are looking to appoint an experienced, passionate, and dynamic Event Coordinator whose primary focus is working with clients to ensure the successful delivery of events, including large conventions, exhibitions, tradeshows, meetings as well as private events, held at Te Pae Christchurch.

    In this role you will work closely with clients during the planning stage, guiding them on the best solutions for their events as well as capturing the event requirements accurately and communicating both the client’s requirements and expectations effectively to the greater team, for delivery.

    This will be delivered with a positive & professional attitude, world class quality standards and the values of Manaaki o Te Pae providing our clients and guests an experience like no other.

    To be successful you will:

    • Have a minimum four years’ experience in a similar role within a conference facility, large reputable hotel, or event management organisation.
    • A qualification in event management at tertiary level or equivalent is preferred.
    • Have knowledge and experience in large-scale events.
    • Have experience with event management systems (preferably Ungerboeck).
    • Be client focused and solutions orientated, with a professional disposition.
    • Have strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
    • Be a collaborative event professional with excellent communication skills at all levels.
    • Be committed to excellence in service delivery.

    The role requires a deadline driven, responsible individual able to work flexible working hours as and when required. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
