The Feilding Civic Centre is a quality entertainment and sporting venue in the heart of the Manawatu.

We are looking for someone with a passion for the event industry to join our small team providing a quality venue for the Manawatu community to connect, participate and be entertained.

Reporting to the Venue Manager the focus of the role is the operating and maintenance of the event technology systems, but it also incorporates the full range of event management activities such as pack in and pack out, liaising with the venue users, accountability for H&S practices and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.

Our ideal person will:

·   Have a passion for technical theatre operation - sound, lighting, and stage management. While a qualification is desirable, nothing beats skills, experience and a willingness to learn

·   Confidence to work alone and problem solve "on the run"

·   Be customer service focussed

·   Be able to undertake a reasonable level of physical work to setup and set down seating, staging etc

·   Comfortable working at heights

·   Adaptable and willing to be flexible around hours of work to meet our customers' needs

·   Demonstrate 100% integrity and willing to complete a Police Vetting process.

This is a permanent, part time position of 30 hours per week minimum, with the actual hours of work varying based on the demand for the venue. Availability to work weekends and evening regularly is essential.
