    About the role

This is an amazing opportunity to join the well-established team at The NZ National Fieldays Society.  The Society owns Mystery Creek Events Centre, a 114-hectare Waikato property that serves as the home of Fieldays, the Society's head office, and is one of the nation's most versatile event venues.

The Health & Safety Risk Coordinator is a highly visible role, overseeing risk to the organisation, assets and people, where you’ll be collaborating alongside key operational functions offering support and advice. With an engaging approach you will drive best practice across the business, providing a safe environment for employees, volunteers, contractors and visitors.

Working on multiple events throughout the year including the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event – Fieldays, you will thrive in a changing environment with the ability to adjust direction and keep people onside.

    Focus areas will be:

    ·       Risk assessment for all hosted events
    ·       Oversee the Fieldays induction process
    ·       Lead the H&S Committee
    ·       Board reporting
    ·       Training of staff on correct and safe procedures
    ·       Documentation of standard operating procedures
    ·       Staying up to date with H&S legislation, processes and risk mitigation strategies
    ·       Ensuring the Society meets its zero harm targets

    Skills and Experience

    ·       Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
    ·       Highly skilled in influencing and adapting to challenging situations
    ·       Proactive in identifying opportunities for continual improvement
    ·       The ability to identify short- and long-term significant risks and calculate the risk to the business
    ·       Sound knowledge in HSE legislation with adherence to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
    ·       Ability to work autonomously and take ownership

If you are interested in joining a fast-paced team where you can help make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you. Send your CV to amy@assetrec.co.nz or call Amy on 07 839 3685 at Asset Recruitment.
