About Cambridge Town Hall
The Cambridge Town Hall is an iconic building (built 1909) centrally located in an historic streetscape, whose grandeur and accessibility has been central to the civic, celebratory and entertainment lives of generations of families and visitors to the region. It is currently a mid-sized performance, meetings, exhibitions, community events, arts, and clubs’ venue with catering capacity. Over the past two years, with the management changed to a Trust, the Cambridge Town Hall is experiencing a new level of activation and usage.
The Cambridge Town Hall has the potential to be a preferred venue for weddings, corporate, business, conferences, and events as well as community and civic occasions, with a unique heritage identity, unavailable elsewhere in the Waikato. Restoration and renovations are underway, and the building is being upgraded and developed to be the ‘beating heart’ of a growing town and district, embedded in the lives and aspirations of Cambridge, Waipā District, and the Waikato. In line with the heritage importance of the building, the quality and nature of community events and programming will be leading edge, and of national significance. Our aim is to create/provide a premier venue that is stunning in appearance, presence, and function.
