    We’re looking for a visionary leader to drive world-class event delivery across Hamilton’s premier venues – Claudelands, FMG Stadium Waikato, Seddon Park, and Hamilton Gardens Pavilion.

    As Head of Event Delivery, you’ll:

    • Inspire and lead high-performing teams to deliver seamless, innovative, and memorable events.
    • Build strong partnerships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure exceptional guest experiences and repeat business.
    • Champion operational excellence, integrating teams and systems to optimise performance and profitability.
    • Drive innovation, adopting new technologies and best practices to keep H3 at the forefront of the industry.
    • Ensure safety and compliance, leading robust planning and risk management processes.
    • Manage budgets with a sharp eye on value, efficiency, and commercial outcomes.
    • Foster a culture of growth, mentoring talent and embedding a high-performance mindset.

    Qualifications

    1. Proven Leadership in Events & Venues
      • 10+ years of experience in the events/venues industry with a strong industry reputation.
      • Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams, including people leaders, through change and growth.
    2. Operational Excellence & Strategic Delivery
      • Track record of delivering exceptional service and managing supplier relationships.
      • Strong decision-making under pressure, with the ability to prioritise and adapt in fast-paced environments.
    3. Tech-Savvy Event Management
      • Experience with Momentus or similar integrated event booking systems (5+ years preferred).
    4. People-First Leadership
      • Commitment to health, safety, respect, and professional development.
      • Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
    5. Strong Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
      • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
