The Carterton Events Centre is Wairarapa’s premium event venue. Celebrating its 10th birthday this month, the facility takes pride of place in the community and plays an essential role towards the achievement of the District’s wellbeing aspirations and outcomes.
We are offering a rare opportunity for a superstar event manager to spearhead this regional treasure, and lead our fantastic Venue Team. The role is responsible for the smooth operation of the Events Centre, the provision of exceptional service to customers, and the marketing of the facility to provide the best possible exposure and promotion.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification in event or facility management (or equivalent experience), have considerable experience in event co-ordination and promotion, and display strong leadership skills. Proven organisational skills will be a given, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be backed by an understanding of the importance of building and maintaining relationships.
